As part of the 67th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW), the Minister of Equality between Women and Men, Taina Bofferding spoke at the debate on "Women, Peace and Security" ahead of the 25th anniversary of UN Resolution 1325.

The Minister underlined that: "In accordance with its feminist foreign policy, Luxembourg continues to implement its National Action Plan 'Women, Peace and Security'. By adhering to the Pact on Women, Peace, Security and Humanitarian Action, Luxembourg pays particular attention to gender issues and contributes to the prevention of and response to sexual and gender-based violence.
Taina Bofferding also attended a consultation meeting of German-speaking gender equality ministers. The exchange of views focused on the consequences of digitalisation on equality.
"In addition to the prevention of digital gender violence, the main challenge is the risk of artificial intelligence reproducing gender stereotypes. Therefore, we must continue to raise awareness among young people so that girls and boys benefit from innovation and digitalisation."
Taina Bofferding delivered closing remarks at a high-level exchange on polio, entitled "Gender equality: the key to protecting every child from vaccine-preventable diseases for a healthier, safer and more equitable world". At another side-event, co-organised by UNFPA and Luxembourg, the Minister finally stressed the importance of putting innovative and digital solutions at the service of effective sexual education.
